A Place to Belong
Community is at the heart of Adat Tikvah. We are creating a place where people know one another, care about one another, and notice when someone is missing. A place where you can bring your whole self—your background, your family, your questions, your traditions, and your life experiences.
Whether you are Jewish, part of an interfaith family, exploring Judaism, returning after many years, or simply looking for a spiritual community, you are welcome here. Whatever your identity, orientation, ability, or level of Jewish knowledge, there is a place for you.
Community does not require everyone to be in the same building. Adat Tikvah was created so that distance, disability, illness, limited mobility, transportation, or being homebound does not have to mean being alone.
We don’t want you simply to attend Adat Tikvah. We want you to become part of it.
Tikkun Olam
At Adat Tikvah, community extends beyond the people we see on our screens. Judaism calls us to tikkun olam—to help repair our world through acts of kindness, compassion, generosity, and justice.
Not everyone is physically able to volunteer at a food bank, visit someone in person, or participate in a community project. That does not mean you cannot make a difference.
Technology gives us new ways to care for one another. Send a meal to someone who is ill. Send flowers to someone who needs encouragement. Send a box of candy to brighten someone’s day. Make a donation to an organization doing meaningful work. Support a family in need. Call someone who is lonely. Share kindness wherever and however you can.
No act of kindness is too small.
Do what you can, with what you have, from wherever you are. Pay it forward. Together, one act at a time, we can help make our world a little better.
